Missing 64 bit Virtual Machine in Oracle VirtualBox
Make sure your
- Laptop is a 64 bit machine.
- Operating system support 64 bit.
- Oracle VirtualBox is 64 bit.
If the above checks out, you may need to configure your machine’s BIOS.
I am using a HP ProBook.
Restart you laptop and enter your BIOS setup. This will require you to press a key during the booting process. In my case, the <ESC> key.
Press F10 to enter the BIOS Setup.
Go to System Configuration -> Device Configuration
Check the Virtualization Technology
Go back to System Configuration -> Set Security Level
Select Virtualization Technology – Change
Save your BIOS setting and let the laptop boot.
You should be able to see the 64 bit guest virtual machine now.
